Whenever I plug a usb 2.0 device into my computer with XP I always get a 'This device can perform faster' message. It doesn't matter which port I plug it into. I thought usb 2.0 drivers automatically installed with XP. How do I get 2.0 speed?

Installing the chip-specific USB drivers for your board most likely. They're on the CD your board came with.

I did that when I built it. I still get that message.

Do you have SP2 for your XP as this corrected the problem.

Also, and this may seem silly, you must have USB2.0 compatible ports. Just having the 2.0 drivers isn't enough.
