I live in dorms at college and there 6-8 wireless routers in the area. right now on average there is 3 on channel 6 3 on channel 11 and one person on channel 1

ive tried every channel from 1 to 11 and i cant get over 90 percent signal because the airway is full. is there anyway to fix this other than sabotaging the other routers. right now Im on channel 8 and that seems the best for now. but i still get interference from 6 and 11

I am about 35 feet from the router and im using a belkin desktop wireless card with a d-link 7dbi gain antenna.

i know for a fact i have the potential for 100% but that was before everyone got a router. i tried using that windsurfer homemade parabola antenna thing but that didnt show any significant gains

Nobody has the potential for 100% signal. You're lucky to get 60%.

    Welcome to wireless.

well ok i know i have gotten 100% in the utility that i use to test signal stength wheather that is full 100% i dont know

the signal is acually from across the street (but still only 35 feet) if it was my router I would just have it hardwired.

Are you having connectivity problems? If not, then it's not anything to worry about.
