Can't log in to Windows

please this might be the wrong place but i have a problem logging into my user account, it automatically logs off when logging in

also this happens in safe mode too so i cant do a system restore

    i have a compaq presario v5204nr notebook which runs a windows xp home edition on it.

    now i have tried to boot with bartpe but when i boot with it it doesnt see the partitions when i try to browse to my system32 folder to load hive on the system except the one for bartpe. i dont see my c partition

    well i guess the problen is because the hard drive is a SATA drive and doesnt seem to be seen by bartpe

    please what can i do
