Outlook - IMAP, Sent Items and Office 2007

I've discovered that if you send an e-mail through an Office 2007 program as an attachment - i.e. .xlsx file from Excel etc then it places the item in your 'sent items' folder on the personal folders tree.

If we were using personal folders this would be great! - Unfortunately we have IMAP accounts, and as such select to have a sent items folder on the IMAP account so you can sync sent items too.

Does anyone know a way I can change where office puts sent e-mails within Outlook?!

I have a feeling there may not be a solution to this one, :/

Any ideas?

Yeah, I am aware of that - that allows you to change the location of sent items which you compose within Outlook - that we have done, but for anything created in another office program - Excel for example - gets put in to the personal folders sent items folder - not the one specified for the account as per the process above :/

I can't even see any rules which I could use to transfer from personal folders to the sent items folder off the IMAP folder tree... currently a right PITA!

Did a bit more looking through MS forums apparently as you suspected it's not possible. ): Most of the solutions from the pros say that you will have to create a rule to copy from the personal to the IMAP folder. Unfortunately there is no rule available to move only copy.
