Samsung, renowned maker of memory, high definition panels, and sundry other gadgets has stunningly halted sales of its products in the Japanese market. Implicitly citing strong incumbents such as Sony and Sharp, Samsung is virtually unprofitable in the land of the rising sun.
Lee Eun-hee, spokeswoman for Samsung said "We judged direct sales to individual consumers are less profitable than business-to-business sales."
So while the high-quality manufacturer will still fulfill bulk orders and business orders, Samsung will vanish from the Japanese retail shelves.
