Mousepads

Since this forum is "less public" than the rest of the forums and is populated by guys that I know and trust, I want to pose a question.

I need a new Mousepad, what do you guys like and why?

You guys know I game some, but I really need a good all around smooth operator. I just increased my mousing space (stupid little "thing" on my keyboard tray was totally inadequate) so I am looking for something no bigger than 15 x 14.

Thanks :D

I have not used a mouse pad since my first laser mouse. I put little teflon feet on my MX1000 and this bitch glides. Am I missing out? Accuracy has never been an issue...

A friend has one of these, $40 for a mouse pad is too much $$$$ for me tho.

    SteelPad

I have a Ratpadz - it's a couple years old now, worn a few spots down till they are smoth and shiney, but still works great.

Check out Everglide's mouse mats. They're made of the same stuff Razer uses but cost a bit less.

I use a 3M Brand 'Precise Mousing Surface', which I borrowed from GH for a LAN party, then never gave back. I've never had a problem with accuracy, and it has a very comfortable wrist rest. The only issue I had with it, is that it sort of slides around on the slick surface of my desk, but I sloved that problem with some gaffing tape, and now it's perfect.

I gave you that mouse pad. I bought four of them on clearance for a buck each a few years ago, and that one wasn't a loan. ;)

I actually use a Brite Mat. It seems they are only made in the UK.
I'm pretty sure I found it at Staples. It's been at least 2-3 yrs since I got it.
Ultra thin / hard surface and non-slip bottom. Washable any time it gets dirty.
No wear on it what so ever after 2-3yrs of gaming and normal pc use on it.
It's been the best mouse pad I've ever used.
And I use optical mice on it without error. Except me aiming bad!
The Ratpadz seem to be close to the same hard surface/thin Brite Mat.
I think Fellowes has the brite mats now in the US.
Or has some simular mats to them.
