Hi all,
I'm about to upgrade my PC. I currently have 1Gb of Corsair 3200xms, a matched pair of 512. My two sons PCs have - 1) 1Gb Geil, 2x 512. and 2) has 1Gb but two different sticks at different speeds. When I get my upgrade I want to use my Corsair to give them more RAM. What is the best way?
Thanks.

First do their machines use the same type you are using? Second how many ram slots do their machines have? But the basics are you want to match up ram in their machines. Basically I think the only advantage you'll see is pulling the ram out of 2) and putting yours in it. If you are mix/matching ram speed the computer will run at the lowest speed chip.

Thanks kryyst, I thought that was the only real option but thought I'd ask anyway. Looks like I have two 512 sticks going beggin.
