WTB: High FSB Core 2 Duo

Hi All,

Is anyone is willing to part with a lower end Core 2 Duo that is capable of very high FSB frequencies? I'm not too concerned if it is not a crazy overclocker, just need one that can hit very high FSBs (in the 500MHz ballpark). Quite a few of these chips are FSB wall limited so I'm hesitant to buy one online. This will be used for mobo reviews on Icrontic so pushing high FSB frequencies will be important for testing. E6300s, E6400s are fine.. even E4xxx series chips are fine. Let me know if you have one and your price. :)

    Lemon,

I have a C2D E6600 that I have yet to try and take the FSB that high. I have the B2 revision if that helps. I also have the EVGA 680i board, the cheaper one not meant to overclock quads. I was thinking about going to the Q6600 but still need to talk to the wif. It depends on if I could sell the one I have.
I was thinking $130 shipped. I did lap it, if that matters. Let me know. In the mean time I will continue negotiations with my significant other(boss).

    Lemon,

I just did a little testing on the chip. I am running it right now at FSB of 400. It's running stable, just tested with prime. I would have gone up to 500, but the temps make me nervous. CPU was only at 44C, but what can I say, I'm a sissy. I think we are good with the wife so PM with about the price and all that fun stuff.

lemonlime, I have an E6300 that I've run at up to 525 fsb, which was about the absolute limit of the P965DS3 board I was using it in. I have a feeling there is more in it too, if you have a board that can run higher stably. IIRC, I only used around 1.5v vcore to do it too. It's one of the original release batches when Core was introduced a year ago.

Let me know if you are interested. :)
