xp sidebar help

Hi, I have a blue sidebar on the left side of my screen and i dont know how to get rid of it. I dont even know how it got there. any help would be great.

    That picture is terrible, I can't make out what it's saying. But it's likely something you've just installed, probably bundled as an option with some other program.

    Can you post a better picture?

    I actually think he means the default blue XP sidebar.

    What Default Sidebar? XP Doesn't have a side bar normally.

    Umm, yes it does. The blue thing on the side. I think they call it a navigation bar or something. The thing inside the red square on the pic...

    Yeah, but it shouldn't be on the desktop.

    Is it interactive?

    Basically, the options on the sidebar are the same options you would have if you right clicked an icon such as rename icon, move icon, delete, details. stuff like that.

    I have never, ever seen that in my entire time with XP. It reminds me of the webpage view for 2000. Man that was weird as all get out. If I still ran explorer as my shell, I'd try to replicate it.

    Right but do they do anything? And I noticed on your pick you've got some program running. Just get us a better pick please if you want any help.

    You still have a spyware problem on your machine. The "Click here to find and fix errors" icon is part of numerous spyware packages.
