Problems using Adobe Photoshop 7

It keeps freezing in loading, near the part where it is building twain filters or something like that. Anyone have this problem before? I can't get it to work on one computer, yet it works fine on my computer with WindowsXP.

I've seen photoshop hang exactly where you're talking about in two seperate circumstances:

    1) a computer had a corrupt font and Photoshop enumerates all the fonts before starting. Identifying the offending font was a gigantic pain and an exercise in patience using the process of elimination.

    2) A bad scanner driver in the Plugins folder caused the other one.

Try 2 things; rename the preferences folder temporarily to force photoshop to create a new one and see if that clears up the problem. The prefs folder is:

    C:\Documents and Settings\username\Application Data\Adobe\Photoshop\7.0\Adobe Photoshop 7.0 Settings

The other thing you can try is to reinstall photoshop. Perhaps one of your plugins is corrupt. I would also recommend finding and installing the latest driver for any imaging equipment that you have (camera, scanner, etc.)
