I have an acer aspire 5100 and I just downgraded to xp (VISTA SUCKS) and now I am having trouble with my modem drivers. everything is fine except that. IN the device driver It doesent acually show a modem it shows a "PCI Device" and 3 "PCI flash memory" devices. I am preatty sure that these are my modem. Ive tried the conexant uuniversal driver. and Ive tried the driver for a 5050 same thing just windows xp and that still doesent work. is there anyway to get my modem back????

I belive that the modem is a foxconn conexant modem (thats what acer says)

have you checked the acer website for drivers for your laptop that's the first place you should check.

No CD's that came with the laptop? Many times one of them has drivers on it.

Have you tried to use the "update driver" from the Device Manager and let it look online?

EDIT: Post a screenshot of Device Manager.
