retrive password?

edited November 2007 in Science & Tech
Hello all, I have a linksys WRT54G, and when i go to 192.168.1.1 and used the default username and password i cannot go in. I know i had created different one for it but I forgot it, and was hoping is there a way to retrive it back or am I stuck?

There's a pinhole on the back of the router that has "Reset" beneath it molded into the plastic. Hold that down until a red light blinks on the front of your router. This will reset the password back to the factory defaults, and is the only way to reset it.

i think it varies depending on the manufacturer...

but normally it should be username:admin password:admin

    check with your supplier/manufacturer

No normally it's username OR password admin I've yet to see one that works with both set to admin by default.

here's a decent site for finding the default L/P info for routers.
