Standby shuts down my PC

Hey guys.

I have been using standby on my PC for a long time and today it will not work properly. I haven't made any changes to the computer itself, nor have I installed any new software on it.

Basically what happens is when I click on standby, instead of it normally putting it in standby and my power light flashing (indicating it's in standby) it just turns the computer right off. Doesn't shut it down properly, just kills the power. And there's no way to turn it back on again either. When you press a key on the keyboard it does nothing (when it worked it would restore power) and when I press the power button on my computer it does absolutely nothing. The only way to turn it back on again is to kill all power to it (turning the switch off on the PSU or unplugging it) then turning the switch back on or plugging it back in.

I have no idea what's going on. I've checked my bios settings, nothing has changed in it. Right now the suspend mode is set to S3, which it always has been set at.

I don't know exactly what info you would need, but my mobo is an Asus M2N-SLI Deluxe. If you need to know anything else let me know and I'll post anymore info.

Thanks for everyone's help!
Nathan

The only thing that occurs to me is to check your +5Vsb voltage in your BIOS. Check it with a multimeter if you can and watch what happens when you try to put it into suspend.
