Help! No Security Software Will Install!

Can anyone help please because I am tearing my hair out!
I have been hit by a virus that has not only destroyed my AVGfree installation but has done something to prevent any antivirus or spyware remover installing on my machine. I have managed to run some online removal tools and a lot of viruses have been detected and removed and I suspect the virus that caused the damage was W32.Beagle.GM which it seems specifically targets antivirus software - this has been removed, but it's effects still remain and nothing will install.
So far I have tried the following - each time the installation gets so far and an error message pops up - I have listed the error messages below:
Steganos
Local machine: installation failed Installation: Error: Action failed for file avgamsvr.exe: creating file.... No such file or directory
Kaspersky
Error 1304. Error writing to file C:\Program Files\Kaspersky Lab\Kaspersky Anti-Virus 7.0\avp.exe. Verify that you have access to that folder.
BitDefender
Error writing to file C:\Program Files\BitDefender\BitDefender 2008\bdagent.exe. Verify that you have access to that folder.
Symantec
Error 1304. Error writing to file C:\Program Files\Common Files\Symantec Shared\SNDSrvc.exe. Verify that you have access to that folder.
I have also tried Spyware Doctor with similar results.
If anyone can suggest anything I would be so grateful.
Thanks.
Steve.

Boot into safe mode, check to see if those folders exist in your program files then delete them. Next, check in common files for folders with names for the different anti-virus software you are trying. Lastly do a search on your computer for them and delete those folders as well. Finally do a regedit for those programs and delete any entries for them. Then try and install one of them again. If this doesn't work your probably going to have to do a clean install of your OS.

Thanks for the suggestion - after tearing my hair out all yesterday I finally solved the problem this morning and I have to say a big vote of thanks goes to google. As I said in my posting nothing would install - but when I was removing Spyware Doctor it offered me the option to install Google Updater which came with an option to install Norton Security Scan which worked and found two viruses that the online scans hadn't found - one of these was W32.Beagle.GM. Norton also removed registry keys which this evil little piece of code had installed but still nothing would load.

This morning I googled the virus again and found a site which listed all the keys to be removed from the registry and the very last key solved the problem. If anyone else needs this information the keys to be removed are:

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
    \"drvsyskit" = "%System%\drivers\hidr.exe"
    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\FirstRRRun
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\srosa
Hope this can help someone else in the future.
    Steve.
