new to OC'ing just a few questions

hello i would like to OC my PC i have a AMD 64x2 dualcore 4800+ 2.51GHz processor
and 2GB's of DDR2 ram with a 2GB pagefile

now i will admit i don't know what to do that why i'm asking i wanna get my CPU to about 3GHz so about 20% it's mainly a gameing machine but also used for study

what will i need to do to acomplish this and i will need as detailed instructios as is possable if you need further INFO please ask i'll be more than happy it suppily if i can

i am also using a MSI motherboard K9N6GM series if that helps

    I'm sorry but what board is it? I see listed on the MSI site the K9N6PGM-F and the K9N6SGM-V. All of the K9N6xxx boards that I've looked at don't seem to support any overclocking so you may be out of luck.

    Is this a pre-built system aka like a Dell? If not what kind of cooling do you have?
