RF Gamepads.

I have a Saitek p3000 wireless gamepad on my PC, Had it for six months and love it. I bought another so little bothered can play lan games with me with the same setup on the other PC. The other PC is only six feet away and the pads are picked up by both recievers causing havok. I thought they would be on differant channels or you could set them to be but I can't find anything in the manuals, website etc. I have emailed Saitek and am waiting for a reply. If nothing can be done I thought of screening the recievers with a chunk of sheet metal, just so the recievers can't 'see' the other pads, with a bit of careful positioning I could do this. Would I have to earth the screens or not?
Thoughts guys?
Thanks,

bothered

Lastly, an A-B toggle switch on the bottom of the base determines which channel you're using. Saitek suggests trying both and seeing which has better communication. More importantly, you can have two controller in the same area by putting one on channel A and one on channel B.

Cheers Black hawk but that's just the US version of the pad. For some reason the UK version is only licenced for a single channel. When I got the second one I assumed you could change the channel, seems obvious to have a choice but not here!

Are you sure? I'm pretty certain that my mates has a channel selector (he isn't the type to buy from abroad...). I'll try and contact him...

I wish there was, There's no selector switch on it and this from Saitek tech support-

Only one P3000 can be used within a 15 foot area here in Europe. The frequency the pad is licensed on did not allow for multiple channels whereas in the States they were able to get two channels to allow for two pads in close proximity to each other.

    Bummer innit?

PS, Nightshade, I'd aprieciate anything you can find out.
