What does the CPU Disconnect function do in the bios of the abit NF7-S v2

    Drops CPU temperature during idle time but I don't recommend it because it makes the system unstable.
    If you have good cooling don't use it. ;)

    so unstable and pointless as I run folding, so I lieave it off. Cheers.

    It switched it off cos it kept causing 100% cpu usage on my NF7s

    You sure it wasn't spyware or anything else running in the background because I have mine enabled and mbm5 doesn't show 100% cpu usage.

    Am I correct in thinking this option is enabled by default in the BIOS?

    Yep very sure, wouldn't happen every time but quite often. No spyware or viri on my machines, well not yet :)
