Networking problems

Hello all. Today, when surfing the internet, I suddenly lost my connection. I didn' do anything about it, since this happens a lot, and usually fixes itself. When it didn't I turned my modem off and oon again, as I always do when it doesn't fix itself. Now, just two of the lights were blinking, "Power" and "WLAN". The "WLAN" was colored amber, when it's usually green. "DSL" and "Internet" was not blinking as they usually do.
I tried to connect to the internet, but it could only find my local network, not internet. I then tried rebooting my computer, which didn't help. I tried again to turn it off, and then back on, this time waiting half an hour before turning it back on. Still same problem, no change. When i go into my modem settings, it says: <TABLE class=PageMessage cellSpacing=0 cellPadding=0 width="100%" border=0><TBODY><TR><TD vAlign=top width="100%">
"Your DSL connection is down. Verify that your SpeedTouch is correctly connected to your phone line. If the problem persists, check your documentation."
I have checked that everythin is properly and correctly connected, and it is. Besides, it worked earlier today. For the results of the connectivity check, refer to the screenshot. At this point, i tried resetting the modem, and setting it up again. Problem still occures.
I've ran out of ideas. Please help me. I'm not very good at networking, so any instructions must be given as easily as possible to understand, please.
I have a HP Compaq 6715b laptop, with Vista Enterprise. My modem is an Speedtouch ST 780WLT, provided by my ISP, Telenor. I have an 8000/650 kbit/s line. I'm now connected to the internet through my cellphone, which is expensive, unstable and slow.
