Help Unable to Clear virus i think its more than one
Hi im quiet new to this forum but i need help.
My girlfriends computer was infected with an unknown virus so far i have had a little idea of what it could or might be.
she currently has Mcafee virus scanner but this is useless since she didnt update it when i ask her to and now she wants me to fix it.
possibilities are: Some sort of W32 virus or a Malware
The last thing she done was go on a website watching shows and this apeared apparently.
the virus spreads by USB Memory as well. luckly the university has an up to date version.
Errors that occure during start up:
svchost, c0nime.exe, task manager is disabled, no virus scanner is able to load due to svchost.
Also the computer becomes really slow and the processor fan goes wild.
University computers detected a file on USB pen called "Mal/Heuri-E"
Is there any way of fixing this problem or finding out without formating?
If theres any additional information you might need that will help you post me and i will do my best to get you the information
Thanx

My name is Gringo and I'll be glad to help you with your computer problems. HijackThis logs can take some time to research, so please be patient with me. I know that you need your computer working as quickly as possible, and I will work hard to help see that it happens.
Please observe the following while we work:
If you don't know, stop and ask! Don't continue, we don't want to start all over again!
Understand that cleaning your computer can sometimes take multiple passes/posts, and it's important to follow the steps in the order that I give them including re-running scans if needed. If you don't follow the instructions in the order I give them or you try something you read in another post you can reinfect this computer again and we will have to start over.
Please reply to this thread, do not start another.
Please tell me about any problems that have occurred during the fix.
Please tell me of any other symptoms you may be having as these can help also.
Please try as much as possible not to run anything while executing a fix.
As I am still on training, everything that I post to you, must be checked by an Admin or Moderator. Thus, there may be a tiny bit of a delay between posts, but it shouldn't be too long.
If you follow these instructions, everything should go smoothly.
install hijackthis
- Download HJTInstall.exe to your Desktop.
- Doubleclick HJTInstall.exe to install it.
- By default it will install to C:\Program Files\Trend Micro\HijackThis .
- Click on Install.
- It will create a HijackThis icon on the desktop.
- Once installed, it will launch Hijackthis.
- Click on the Do a system scan and save a logfile button. It will scan and the log should open in notepad.
- Copy/Paste the log to your next reply please.
Don't use the Analyse This button, its findings are dangerous if misinterpreted.Don't have Hijackthis fix anything yet. Most of what it finds will be harmless or even required.
: uninstall list
Make an uninstall list using HijackThis
To access the Uninstall Manager you would do the following:
1. Start HijackThis
2. Click on the Config button
3. Click on the Misc Tools button
4. Click on the Open Uninstall Manager button.
5. Click on the Save list... button and specify where you would like to save this file. When you press Save button a notepad will open with the contents of that file. Simply copy and paste the contents of that notepad here on your next reply.
