Has anyone ever heard of this game? After doing some research I've slowly come to terms with the fact that this game, will be giving WoW the biggest competetive slap it's ever had, and ever will have. Better graphics, better gameplay, more features... Just woah.

that's the unofficial homepage. I can't get the official homepage to work atm because this PC won't load it, but that's just as good.

Screen shots look pretty, but as for giving WoW a run for it's money I doubt it. Not commenting on the potential quality of Aion. But on the fact that no MMORG since WoW has come out has even put a real chink in WoW.

NCSoft does put out a decent product though so this will likely be a good game. But like every other MMORG out there, it'll be just another MMORG. Besides Conan still looks to be a more entertaining game and there is also Warhammer Online due next year that has many a Warhammer fanboy in a rabid state.

It'll be big in Korea, and die in the US.

Well, I have a good feeling about it to be honest. I'm a WoW fanatic, but even I am quitting WoW for Aion in this case. I mean, it won't instantly overtake WoW's 9 million players, but alot of them are getting fed up with WoW, I am for one, and I never thought I'd say that to be honest :P

I've done everything I can in the game, I can't get into a decent guild because I'm a hunter or I cant make their raid times without going afk for dinner in the middle of them, which will result, eventually, in a gkick before I can get my Tier 6 :P But I've played every class, I hate PvP and I've done way too much grinding to want to do it again. It's time for something new, and Aion, is going to be VERY big one day, mark my words. I might be doing the opposite of the iPhone guy, but still, it's what I'm pretty sure of.

It may die in the US, but some friends and I (not in the US :P) are going to convert to Aion, to at least give it a try.

I haven't heard of it = lack of good marketing = death of product

It's still in closed beta stages

That didn't stop WoW from creating a frenzy.

NCSoft produces niche MMOs; they appeal to a few hundred thousand people pretty strongly, but never gain mass popularity in the west. That's why NCSoft primarily operates in the Asian market.

Well, I hadn't heard of WoW til 2 months after it came out, and only then a friend told me about it. WoW did their advertising well, but not (afaik) during the closed beta stages. WoW might have caused a stir in communities like this where most new news is instantly brought to people's attention... Rather like I am doing now :P (although not instantly). There's still time, but I do think that Aion will be big :P
