Black & White Error
hai all,
I got Black & White for Christmas, which I was very happy about, played it for a couple days etc. Went to play it again today... The game would open, black screen, go back to the desktop with the game minimized and the same would happen again if I tried to maximise it. So I tried unilstalling it and...
Failed to load dll:E
Error code: 0x80040702
I've tried a defrag, I've deleted the folder since I can't uninstall/reinstall and I still get that error. dll:E DOES exist on the disk because I've taken a look on the disk.

You might try MyUninstaller to forcefully remove and then re-install.
I'm sure others will have some info.
Cheers!
edit:/ you might also try some registry repair programs has I saw them mentioned as solutions as well.
If the uninstaller doesn't work, break the install and make windows remove the entry from the add/remove menu. This can be done by deleting the uninstall.exe that came with it, or deleting the registry entry and the files that it used to install.

Go to the install shield information folder and delete the B&W install shield folder. It should be located under the programs menu (C:\Program Files\InstallShield Installation Information). If you delete the B&W installshield information folder, it should install. The folder name should begin with {E51B…} (note the curly brackets around the folder name). If you don't see the folder, go to the tools menu in explorer, folder options and select the view tab. Select "Show hidden files or folders" and click OK.
Thanks for putting up with yet more of my **** ups :P
