Asus A7N8X-e Delux and Sata boot problem
Looking for some help with this, cant seem to figure it out...
Was running the Asus A7N8X-e Deluxe with 3 IDE harddrives and the dvd burner
just had an IDE drive die on me and so went out and replaced it with a sata drive since the motherboard guide said it could support SATA - Segate 750 gig.
After hooking up the sata drive the computer goes through the post then goes to the SiL 3112A SATA Raid Bios screen and detects the drive and just sits there. The screen shows to hit CTRL-S or F4 to enter raid setup and tryed them and nothing happens
I have tryed with 0,1 and both IDE cables pluged in and same results. I was unable to locate anything in the system Bios for sata setup.
Basicly want this to be a data drive and boot from the IDE on the computer - hate reinstalling windows if I dont need to, but I am willing to install windows on the SATA and leave the 2 IDE drives as data drives.
Now looking over the site I saw info on a moded bios, would this correct my problem ?
Thanks for any help
