I'm infected!!! Damn those online hookers & their STD's.. HELP!

edited January 2008 in Spyware & Virus Removal
There's something gobbling up all my memory slowing down my computer to a crawl or slower than a that, a stand still. I can barely load up a webpage, or yet alone do anything else other than to run a scan but that doesn't seem to be helping. A few days ago everything was fine, but today... nothing.
The pc is an emachine T5026 3.06ghz 1gbram and so on...

By the way, I'm almost 99.99% sure it has to do something with spyware... so I checked all steps so I'm clueless now... as always... any help is always apreciated

I did read and follow "such" topic. My name indicates I'm DumN but you'd be surprized. Coming here is always my last resort. I try everything I can once, then come here to see what else I can do on my own, and if all else fails, short-media, I mean Icrontic.com is my last resort (I thought I got lost on my way here:confused: I figured I was getting my pages redirected again) But I still have the slow pc problem. If I come off as being rude, well it's not my intention and I appologize. I am not a n00b, I just tend to forget a few important things here n there like most people do from time to time. ;)

In any way you can. Defragmenting, cleaning up, removing unwanted stuff and so forth doesn't seem to be working. Task Manager shows an item "ALEupdat.exe" gobbling up my memory, all 1gb of it and I know it's spyware or something similar because a few days ago everything was fine, and now everything isn't fine.
