My computer wont boot in Safe Mode

edited January 2008 in Hardware
hp pavilion laptop
tried logging in normally and it loads right up to where my screen should tell me to select my user, enter the password, and proceed to loading windows.
where it should send me to the user screen i get nothing but a black screen.

When I try to boot in safe mode (holding f8) it loads all of my drivers up to crcdisk
then stops. It is very frustrating, i'm not sure if there is anything i can do, but if you know anything that would help i would greatly appreciate it.

thank you

    Hello Anz,

It sounds to me like your OS files and/or drivers are either curropted or damaged. Try moving your hdd to another computer and seeing if you can boot up there to make sure it really the hdd. It ALSO may be malware, but I have no clue to anything when it comes to that.
