Hey,
During a recent project i was working on my desk and the screen of my dell 2007w got a rather deep scratch in it. I tried some metal polish to buff it out but its just too deep. My question is is it some sort of replaceable layer that i scratched that i could replace with Plexiglass or is it the actual lcd that is scratched? I googled some things but didnt come up with much help. if anyone has any experience or has a link to something that could help i would appreciate it.

I have the same problem, I put a deep scratch in it about 3 days after getting it but Dell would not replace to screen.

I have just put up with it ever since, anyone have any links this would be great! :)

If it's under warranty see if they'll accept it. You'd be surprised what Dell will take back under warranty. I've know 2 people that had kids spill orange juice on their laptops and they got it covered under warranty.
