Won't do dual channel?

I bought this A7N8X-X from Newegg for $41 "refurbished." It does everything I've asked of it so far (easy 2.3 GHz out of a XP2100+) but no matter which RAM banks I populate (right now it's banks 2 and 3), it won't do dual channel... is there a BIOS setting I'm missing for dual channel or something? Or is there something wrong with this board? :banghead:

Well, when my Asus P4C800-E wouldn't operate in dual-channel, it turned out to be a bad MCH/NorthBridge that was responsible. :(

I have a sad sinking feeling that the board is fubar'd... :(

Looks like it's time to RMA the sucker back to the newegg...

You are using 2 identical sticks of RAM for dual-channel mode... right? :)

Yup - they worked together in dual channel just fine on the old board too (it was an A7N8X Deluxe).

There is no dual channel on the A7N8X-X. It has the nForce2 400 chipet, not the Ultra 400 chipset. The only difference is the 400 chipset doesn't have dual channel. That is why it is cheaper in the first place.
