Change login credentials to another LAN computer in Windows Explorer?

My roommate's computer did not historically have an account for me on it, but it now does. However, Windows Explorer does not prompt me for a login when I connect to his computer over the network, thus shared resources I should be able to access, I cannot. Do any of you know how to change/replace/reset the saved login to this computer so it will prompt me for a login upon Windows Explorer connect?

I'm not sure if I saved nothing or something else, but for one reason or another it does not prompt me for a login, like other computers on the network do.

You can probably do it with net use on the command line, but that's not the most convenient method ever eh? I dunno, seems like there should be an easy way.

hmm, can't really see any way to do what I'm aiming at... i'm wanting to use windows explorer (the file manager of XP)... i must have an old password or something saved for that computer, I just want to clear that one and get a login prompt to save a new one.

There's a way to clear the passwords cached by IE, but it will clear them all. In IE goto Tools> Internet Options> Content. Next, goto Personal Information (bottom of page) and click the <AutoComplete> button. Lastly, click the <clear passwords> button.

It's automatically logging you on as a guest. You need to dissable the guest account on that machine via the users control panel applet AND through the "Users and Groups" option in the Management panel.
