Weird Clipping Problem TF2

I've been playing TF2 since it was released. I've never had problems up until now. I recently upgraded from vista to XP and whenever I play I get this weird blinking mouse cursor stuck in the middle of the screen. It never goes away. On top of that I am getting massive clipping in-game. It gets so bad sometimes that I cant even walk down a straight hallway without thinking I have to turn somewhere.

Does this have to do with vertical sync?

It is also important to note that I turned up my USB polling rate to 500mhz (2ms) instead of the normal 125(8ms). Could this be the problem? It never did this before.

some basic specs.
XP pro, fully updated.
7950 GX2 latest drivers.
mx3000 combo mouse + keyboard.

playing on 1680x1050 high settings. vertical sync off.

This problem happens 4/5 times even if i restart steam and TF2.

...I recently upgraded from vista to XP...

    Quoted for truth

Now on topic, I personally have no advice. Haven't had that problem, maybe try turning the mouse back to where it was and see if that helps...

ive restarted my computer a few times to test if it was the USB polling that was making it clip. Even at the default values, i'm still getting a large amount of clipping. cross that one off my list.

I have the same video card as you eggroll and haven't had any issues with clipping so I wouldn't suspect that. You could try re-downloading and installing TF2 and see if it makes a difference.

    Check your video card temperatures.
