quick question:
i, with a few deft keystrokes, managed to fark my mandrake installation. it still worked but i had messed up a couple of installs so i wanted to start from a clean slate. no problem, says i, i shall delete the partition and reinstall. little did i know that it left the bootloader behind which boots up every time forcing me to manually select windows each time.

how do i get rid of the bootloader?

    Use the windows recovery console:

    Type:

    Fixboot

    and

    Fixmbr

That'll clear it up to the default windows mbr.

    fdisk /mbr

get you a win98 bootdisk and do that.
