Connecting to site 1.0.0.0

Help! When attempting to connect to the Internet I receive a "connecting to site 1.0.0.0" message at the bottom of the screen. The page never loads. It takes several attempts to actually connect to my default webpage. System running slow as well. Not sure if this is related. I've read previous threads on this subject on this website. Wondering if you can help. Thanks!

    Download Hijackthis to your Desktop.
    • Doubleclick HJTInstall.exe to install it.
    • By default it will install to C:\Program Files\Trend Micro\HijackThis .
    • Click on Install.
    • It will create a HijackThis icon on the desktop.
    • Once installed, it will launch Hijackthis.
    • Click on the Do a system scan and save a logfile button. It will scan and the log should open in notepad.
    • Save the log to a convenient location as you'll need to post it soon.
    • Don't use the Analyse This button, its findings are dangerous if misinterpreted.
    • Don't have Hijackthis fix anything yet. Most of what it finds will be harmless or even required.
    Post the HijackThis log here.

    Hi RyderOCS!
    Have you had a chance to check the log I posted ref. my "connecting to site 1.0.0.0" issue? I still do not know what else to do. Thanks for the help.
