Cdr are 700 mb and dvdr is like 4gigs
The question is can I burn a dvdr as a data disc like
you burn cdr?
Just wondering if I can, I'll go and get them
cause than I can burn 4 gigs of music on one cd :)
I like that idea. :D
Yes I have that much music :D
I just haven't gotten a dvdr disc to try so I'm
asking before blowing the money.
Thanks :)

You can put anything you want on a DVD-R, just like a CD-R. If you intend to put MP3s on the DVD, your player must support both DVDs and mp3s. If you intend to make a DVD audio disc, like a CD audio disc, your player must support DVD Audio discs.

Thanks so if I burn mp3 on the dvdr disc and pop it in
my cd rom it will open my winamp and play right?
I would be playing it in my pc, or do I have to put
    it in my dvd rom.
Just trying to clear some room.

Yeah, if you burn MP3s to the DVD-R, the PC will do whatever you want with it.

I just want to clarify, for Doc so there's no confusion.

Dvd's will only play in a dvd drive and can only be burned with a dvd burner. That's the limitation of the media. If your device can read it, then you can use the same software to read the dvd data disc that you would have used to read a cd data disc.
