SATA Drivers for WDC WD16 00JD-00HBB0 (XP Install - HDD Detect Error)

Hi:

I am trying to install XP but it doesn't detect my hard drive.

I came across this thread http://icrontic.com/forum/showthread.php?t=44910, and tried to find my SATA drivers.


I found the drivers on http://support.wdc.com/download/index.asp?cxml=n&pid=2&swid=10
, but I have the same error as http://icrontic.com/forum/showpost.php?p=378536&postcount=17.


Can somebody please help me. I need it urgently.

EDIT: BTW, I am trying to install Win XP Pro

you need drivers for your motherboard's SATA controller on a floppy disk. what motherboard do you have?

these should work.

when the xp install first starts at the blue screen, it will ask you to press f6 to install 3rd party drivers, do so, and put the floppy disk in the drive with these drivers on it.

I do wonder if you can show me the page FROM where you got this ZIP file. Just for future in case I need it for different mother board.
