Infected computer

No idea how the computer originally got infected, but it started with changing the background, spy-ware popups, computer running at 100% memory, and no ctrl+alt+del function.

I ran a lot of spyware programs and searched for fixes and was able to get it back to full functionality and no reports from my programs of infestation.

About a month later computer started acting up and it is still infected.

Reran everything, just need the finishing touches. I'm also getting a pop-up when the computer starts that says "Error Loading C:\windows\system32\mdeigkad.dll" the specified module could not be found"

    What about downloading and using cracks? Maybe the reason is there.

    Please make sure you read the instructions carefully and follow them exactly. That way you speed up the cleaning process and ensure that everything is going right.

    You may want to print out these instructions or save them as a text document.

    Step 1:

    Please download ComboFix from Here or Here to your Desktop.

    * In the event you already have Combofix, this is a new version that I need you to download
    * It is important that it is saved directly to your Desktop

    Step 2:

    Very Important! Temporarily disable your anti-virus, script blocking and any anti-malware real-time protection before performing a scan. They can interfere with ComboFix or remove some of its embedded files which may cause "unpredictable results".

    Click on this link to see a list of programs that should be disabled.
    The list is not all inclusive. If yours is not listed and you don't know how to disable it, please ask.

    Step 3:
    • Close all open browsers and programs.
    • Double click on combofix.exe & follow the prompts.
    • When finished, it will produce a report for you.
    • Please post the "C:\ComboFix.txt" along with a new HijackThis log for further review.
    Note: Do not mouseclick combofix's window while it's running. That may cause it to stall.
