HELP? What the heck is going on! Surely I didnt do this....

Chances are you need to change the workgroup back to what it was originally. Other than that, it isn't something that was done by you if that is the only setting you changed. Perhaps your servers at work are just having issues today?

but that wouldnt explain y i am having issues connnecting to anything anywhere on the web...i am still at my house....on my home network....I cant even get direction on yahoo...my email is slow...connecting to the servers....everything is lagging....

I called some other collegues working on the server and they are fine...granted they might not be on the same file as i am but still the same server...

as far as the workgroup...i will try that now and report....

Yeah I'm pretty sure the workgroup thing has little to do with it, but it would be the easiest place to start.

I really don't see what it would have to do with it either. From what I gather you are trying to connect to a VPN server, which is launched over the internet. Perhaps your internet connection is just being slow. Especially since you said that your email was slow.

Would you mind going to www.speakeasy.net/speedtest selecting the server closest to you and telling me what your down and up bandwidths are?

Just open up CMD and type route -f. You have to restart after doing this or your internet will not work. It removes bad instances of routing policies, affects network shares, gateways and VPN's so it might help you.

w/o my I-net...means I cant get help if this doesnt work out well...so want to make sure I got this right...

I just go to command prompt and type "route -f" press enter. then restart my pc or my router?

also...goign to wait till after I c if it is even necessary tomarrow...will test the connection in tomarrow...if not necessary then wont mess w/ it...
