HD 3870 in Crossfire vs. HD 3870 X2

TweakTown answers the question: "What is better; two HD 3870s in Crossfire, or a single HD 3870 X2?" Performance is close between both cards.

Pure benchmarks for the HIS branded X2

Guru3D puts the HIS brand HD 3870 X2 through the paces with today's latest eye-candy games. They came away impressed with the card's performance and compatibility.

More benchmarks from the ATI reference model

HEXUS continues in the same manner, but uses an ATI-badged card and some different games. They praise the card for it's versatility, but note that without proper driver support, the card's performance falls. TechReport agrees.</p>

And finally, a look at a non-reference model

TweakTown ends the list with a nice review of the GECUBE version of the HD 3870 X2. This one has a funky cooler, and they've pushed the memory a good bit while giving the cores a mild boost. Needless to say, it's crazy fast.
