Steam woes.

I seem to have yet another Steam game that doesn't work. I bought Puzzle Quest for understanding Wife yesterday and it won't even load. Another person has (had) the same problem with it as in this thread - http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?t=649071
I have tried his solution to no avail. Everything in the FAQ, help pages, has been tried so I thought I'd ask my Icrontic chums.
Any ideas guys?

    When I was having major steam problems, I right cluck on steam.exe and "run as administrator" and that sorted everything.

    Yeah I said "cluck" - that IS the past tense of "click", right? :wtf:

    Problem solved. Puzzle Quest has an extra part that needs running after install. We figured it out over a fine brew this morning. What's more bizarre is that Kane & Lynch worked after that as well....

    Dunno, I've only played it a little but I've had worse.

    K & L free on gametap if you subscribe =p id never pay for that game, much like Jericho...

    Yeah, sometimes my steam account get temporairly wiped of everything ive bought and tells me i need to purchase everything again, but restarting fixes the problem...weird...
