anyone have the 360 version of rock band and XBL? it would be cool to get some kind of internet-epic-bandness-nerd thing going with reglar people to play with instead of the creepy people you get though matchmaking on XBL.

Rrawk out on xpert guitar, hard-expert on drums, and easy-medium on vocals

I have it, and would definitely be down for joining any Icrontic bands. I can play expert guitar/bass and hard/expert(some) drums... not really wanting to sing since it's only fun in "local" games for me.

//edit: Gate28, what is your name so I can add to friends on live?

OOH OOH OOH i just got it earlier today. I am normal/hard/expert vocalist (some songs just are impossible to do), and subpar medium/hard Bass player. I'm terrible on Guitar and horrendous on drums.

    embersred <<< 360 name.

I just thought of something. Most of us here all live in different areas. What time-zone are you in? I live in California, so that would make it pacific (-8 hours). I just want to get a general idea of when people play.

That and does online matchmaking let you create a band name?

I play drums on mertesn's PS3. We have a band called Hell O'Kitty that rocks the planet. You're lucky to be on XBL, otherwise you'd face our wrath.

Too bad we can't have 360 + ps3 bands face off. that would be great.

Hell O'Kitty, what a funny name. It beats ours "The Congress of Awesome"

I think we'd been drinking a bit (a lot) when Hell O'Kitty was formed, but that's how most great ideas come about.

Yeah, it's unfortunate the two versions don't talk. Is this a limitation of the game itself, or is it XBL vs PSN?

well yea I have it for 360 add me to your friends list formfactor on both live and PSN. I have 2 guitars so my girlfriend and I could both play. I am somewhat emb arrased to admit she is much beter at both GH and Rock Band on the axe, but I am a far better on the mic. Rock band is a blast with enough friends and alcohol to cover all instriments :)

    Rockband update:
In this latest software update, you’ll find:

    * (New!) Music Store: Rock Band now has a new feature that lets you preview and purchase songs from within the game! Accessible from the main menu, the Music Store lets you view, purchase and sort all available music based on various categories, view album art, listen to song previews, and check out extended information about the song like difficulty for each instrument.

    * Revised Fan Caps: To allow Easy, Medium, and Hard players to progress further in the Band World Tour, we’ve increased the number of fans that you can earn before hitting the cap. Easy players can now travel across the Atlantic, Medium players have a wider range of venues they can play at, and Hard players on the Xbox 360 are now able to unlock the “One Million Fans” achievement.

    * More diverse songs in Band World Tour: If you’ve ever cursed about having to play “Say it Ain’t So” or a Metallica track multiple times in the same hour, then you’ll be glad to know that we’ve tracked down and fixed the issues that triggered these very repetitive moments in Band World Tour.

    * Improved phoneme recognition: We’ve improved the detection and scoring for phoneme recognition. If you had trouble on songs like “Timmy and the Lords of the Underworld” or “Blitzkrieg Bop”, you should have an easier time beating these songs now.

    * Microphone Latency on PlayStation 3 improved: Our awesome team of audio programmers has found some optimizations that reduce microphone latency on the PlayStation 3 in certain situations.

    * Xbox 360 Band Logos are now visible through Xbox LIVE: An issue with parental controls stopped band logos from being visible over Xbox LIVE. With this update, you can now view all of the awesome band logos that people around the world have created!

    * Faster loading of downloadable content: Not only is the loading speed faster, but this information is now cached so that this loading time is a “once only” wait rather than something that happens every time you turn on the game.

"More diverse songs in Band World Tour" definitely a needed update, as was found out last weekend! hehe

    Which is in June!!!

On a side note it's really worth it if you think about what you're getting. You're getting a guitar controller, mic, and drum set. If you're like me an already have a usb controller from your 360 (which died) you'll be set for 4 person jamming.

That said, I'm sorry the English Pound is worth more than the dollar, that does seem a little steep.

You could probably get a second hand Ibanez or Epiphone Les Paul for the money they're charging over here. I don't think it's anything to do with the exchange rate (which should bring the price down) EA are just greedy.
