xp question

edited February 2008 in Science & Tech
I have a laptop that I gave up working on a few months ago out of frustration. I have a second wind now and have a question. If I reformat the entire drive and reinstall xp...will my MS office still be there? it was installed on the Dell XPS when the computer was ordered but I have no hard disk for it. For those interested in the situation... http://icrontic.com/forum/showthread.php?p=569989#post569989

No, office will not be there. The very definition of formatting means any information contained on the drive will be (For all intents and purposes) deleted.

If you have the recovery cd's or a repair partition on your harddrive then doing a system recovery should replace everything back to like they day you first turned it on.

Dell usually does NOT send you the CD for Office and they almost NEVER give out there site license code for office.
