I have installed a Netgear PCI card and an ST-Link wireless router by connecting my current ADSL+2 modem to the WAN port of the router. Power up and get all the lights blinking properly according to the setup guide.
Follow the usual procedure for connecting to a wireless network and get excellent signal strength and "Connected" message. When I try to connect to the Internet "Page Cannot Be Displayed"!!!!
I have logged into the router and put my ISP username and password in but still nothing, does anyone have any advice what step I am missing.

Make sure your router is set to dialup via PPPoE, not PPTP or L2TP. Make sure your connect mode (Various routers use various names) is set to "Keep alive" with a 30-60 second check interval (If the option is available).

    Thanks Thrax,
I have solved most of the problem now by resetting to factory defaults and starting from scratch. I now have successful connection. However, now I have set it up as an unsecured network and can't log back into the wireless access point (router) to change the SSID etc.
I will sleep on it and tackle again tomorrow - I think I need to hard wire the router back into the PC via ethernet cable so that I can log into it and change settings.........too tired ...must sleeeeeeeep:o
