My boyfriend actually has an account, but I don't think he's played in a long time- he hasn't even played TF2 since he got a PS3. But if there's a new GW's coming out he might start playing again.
Yeah I play, not too much..probably like five hours a week or so..mostly alliance battles. I have friends that play so that's what keeps me on..otherwise I'd probably be bored of it They're looking forward to GW2..but I probably won't be getting it. I don't even have the expansion.

Well just installed it again and am trying tog et used to the differences between it and WoW. I only have the original. What do the expansions add, more areas? Higher lvl cap or something?

Each expansion (except eye of the north) are independant of each other. So the prophecies campaign lets you stay in that area. But if you add on another expantion, then you can travel to the asian themed factions areas, and the nightfall has the egyptian dessert stuff. If you do play, I can help you through the original.
The level cap has always been 20, which is easy to reach without grinding. Just play the main story missions, and you will get to it within...a week of casual adventuring.
BTW, what are everyone's names so I can add them to my list.

The sweet thing about Guild Wars is you only have to add one friend's name and you'll be able to see him/her when they are on another character. Recently I haven't been on my warrior (above), but you'll still be able to see 'who' I am on after you've added that name. It's something WoW needs to implement imo.
Personally I prefer Factions or Nightfall over Prophecies..you get to 20 faster and don't have to do some of the dumb missions Prophecies has to offer. However Prophecies probably has the best and most in depth story. Whenever I make new characters I make them in Factions..I've found it is the fastest way to get to 20 and there are more skills and max armor available sooner.
Btw anyone need a guild? My friends and I have a Kurzick guild that we really need to recruit for (the four of us are the only ones in it).
there is only ONE expansion. The rest are CHAPTERS of the Guild Wars world.
PROPHECIES is the original story, chapter. It gets you into the game slowly and gives skills as rewards for doing quests. Level 20 takes awhile. You can choose one of the 6 core players.
FACTIONS happens at the same time as PROPHECIES, just on a different continent. You can be Level 20 in 4 hours, but have to purchase skills. You can choose one of the 6 core players or 2 FACTIONS character classes.
NIGHTFALL happens 2 years in the future. To get to level 20 takes longer than FACTIONS, but quicker than PROPHECIES. NIGHTFALL introduces HERO's, which are henchmen that you equip the weapons/skills/armor to your desire. You can choose one of the 6 core players or 2 NIGHTFALL character classes.
EYE OF THE NORTH, is an expansion to PROPHECIES, FACTIONS OR NIGHTFALL and takes place 7 years after PROPHECIES. Remember Gwen from pre-sear? Well, she is all grown up now. EYE OF THE NORTH is reachable by any Level 20 character, and does not add new classes.
You can add the name Despe Ration to your friends list, althought I'm not using her right now. also, I have Guild Wars through Steam, so you can find me on steam friends, under the name {IC} fatcat
I usually play under Mal Zeth but I have one of everything, setup a time to play and I'll join up. Think im going to go 2man UW now with all this GW talk
The Nexlia clan and I all have Prophecies and I have factions, but we stopped playing right after I bought it... I have a very low level assassin and could be interested in starting it back up if there is enough interest on here...
I've never played guild wars, I heard it was total pants and a cheap immitation of WoW... At least that's what I've heard. Trying GW is on my to-do list!

They arent even comparable honestly. I didnt like WoW.
yea you cant compaire the 2 at all, they are completly different, the one good thing about GW is that all you have to do is buy the game and play it for free whenever you want, I mean I didnt actually start playing the game untill 2 years AFTER I bought it.
So what are we going to do once a few of us get on together? Creep and I were on at the same time..but we couldn't think of a single thing that we could do since both of us beat GW already.
Lately I've been building a monk and mesmer for ab and farming..nothing too exciting.
Whoever is interested may join my guild we're looking for people with little success (I think we have five members )
That kind of reminds me of what happened yesterday: Two friends and I were on skype while in alliance battles. During our first confrontation everyone in the party but myself died. One of the guys on skype says "That rit guy lived, he must be pretty good." Then I'm like "Yes I am quite awesome" and he laughed at his stupidity for like five minutes.
Of course..it's probably one of those "should have been there" stories...
And you can join the guild too if you want eggroll did you decline my invitation because you thought I was just some random person?
Never gonna happen Alpha, I formed my guild 2 weeks after the game went retail, then worked my a** off to get and stock my guild hall, an alliance is doable tho.

For you Fatcat, I'll install back my ole prophecies/factions/nightfall. I don't have eye of the north though.
I'm a hybrid healer monk. mainly stat removal and cures. I am better than heros/henchman.
You can catch me on, with the name of "Subtle Beauty"
Pro(straight)tip: Stick with Eggroll from now on.
