IE Pop Ups in Firefox and Opera! - Recurring Problem! Please help :(

Hiya - thanks for reading - I have an adware issue whereby IE pops open various ads - some "powered by zedo" other random poker sites and the like - ive used every spyware/virus programme known to man to get rid of this - i use firefox usually and the pop ups come up despite not using IE at all in IE windows. They only pop up when I am browsing - the same thing happens when I use Opera Browser - below is a HJT log I just took!

Many thanks for your help! I really need it - its driving me crazy!

I don't think the adware or popups have anything to do with Opera or Firefox. It's probably just a coincidence that you see the popups when browsing. Try leaving your computer on for the night, do popups appear then too?

Obviously this doesn't solve your problem. You'll probably need some kind of virus remover to get rid of this.

    Welcome to Icrontic FinnFinn,

No outright infection showing here, but you do have an ActiveX Object related to WilliamHill Poker, which is known to be an undesirable software (see here).

Go to Add/Remove Programs and uninstall that if shown there. Reboot, then run a new HijackThis scan, and post that log back here please.

Also Go Here and download Silent Runners to your desktop. Run it, and post back here the log it creates. If your protective software queries the script, allow it to run. It's not malicious. It will create a file named Startup Programs, and will notify when the scan is complete. Copy the log from the Startup Programs file back here. Here are guidelines for using Silent Runners if needed. You can use separate posts here when replying and posting the log files if needed.
