Request - VISTA won't shutdown

basically says it all
tries to shut down for hours, until I manually shutdown
then on restart I get error on shutdown
any ideas?

    Possibly a resident program that is refusing to close on shutdown. I'd post a hijackthis log in the SVT forum.
