convert FAT32 to NTFS ? how

it is still in FAT32 give me trouble that everytime I restarted computer, I got trouble, ha ha ............ I tried to convert FAT32 to ntfs with the DOS command as

convert c: /fs:ntfs

I got stuck when it asked me to dismount the drive, should we say yes to continue the convert FAT32 to NTFS ?

    I've never tried that but I wouldn't do it with any data on the drive. It can be done in windows if its not your OS partition.

    To help us help you. Please give us more info. What version of windows do you have.
    If your drive is made by the following manufactures go to the web site to download the software to format the drive

    Western digital

    Toshiba

    Sony

    Seagate

    Say yes. You'll have to reboot your PC, and the conversion will be done before windows loads.

    ummmm the windows is windows xp professional, hdd ............... I got to open the box and check it monday
