are you running the graphical or console client?
advmethods makes you get gromacs work units, which are a much better points/time investment on a p4 (as well as most AMD processors, but it's not extreme)
forceasm make the athlon processors (those which support it) use SSE

folding @ home, but once you use the switches (forceasm and advmethods), your choice will be ignored
In the shortcut to your folding in the start menu, just add them after the last quote in the box:
"c:\foldingishere\fah.exe" -advmethods -forceasm
edit:
here's an example for the console, but you do the same for the graphical

If you are running the prerelease4 then you should use "forceSSE" instead of "forceasm" for AMD chips.
