Installed Ubuntu

My laptop is now a Linux box so I can have my XP license on a desktop.
So I am new to Linux once again...

I am testing a few things, went to youtube... it asked me to install either Gnash or Flash so I had it do Gnash out of curiosity and now the system gets real sluggish when I try to view a video but it does play but like I said... sluggish and so bad that anything I do on the rest of the system is hung up for a while as well. I dunno how to get rid of Gnash or even if it is my problem, maybe Flash will do it as well and maybe the graphics needs to be installed? Usually if the graphics driver isn't installed I can't get a full 1440x900 resolution with full color even.

Any suggestions?

Gonna have to give us more info!

x64, x86, 7.10, 7.04, hardware info, did you use the restricted drivers, etc.

If I had to guess, I'd uninstall gnash (either through synaptic if it's there or sudo apt-get uninstall gnash), and if you're not on x64, the flash plugin works well (flashplugin-nonfree in synaptic).

yeah couldn't find a way to uninstall gnash so I just reinstalled the OS(which was FAST btw) and got flash to install this time and it works great now.
