I just received an MSI- K8T Neo - MS-6702 ver: 1.0.
Gnomes dad gave it to me.
Manual says it supports 64-bit AMD Athlon64 processors. (socket 754)
Supports up to 3200+,3400+ or higher CPU.
My question is... Whats the highest CPU that it will support?
It has a 3400+ in it now that came with the mobo.

Would it be worth getting a 3700+ over the 3400+?
I didn't know if there would be any improvement in performance.
I'm going to use this for gaming, instead of my Abit AN7 / Athlon XP 3200+ / Radeon X1600 Pro 256MB / 2X WD Raptor 10,000 RPM / 2X1G OCZ Platinum.
I figure it will run a little better because it's the 64bit AMD Athlon64 processors.
I assume it's a little upgrade. Correct me if I'm wrong on this.
Moneys tight and I can't afford to upgrade now, so every little bit I get for free is a plus.
I can switch out the memory, graphics,HD's,etc., and have a little better gaming pc.
    Thnx for your reply rapture.
That's where I saw the latest processor for it too.
Just didn't know if there was anything higher.
    Always good to have confirmation.
