STOP Error 0x0000008e win32.sys

edited March 2008 in Hardware
Well the title pretty much explains everything.

every time i try to boot up my computer, i receive this screen where there's the safe mode/ w commandprompt, w networking, last known good configuration, start windows normally.

i tried starting it normally but up comes this blue screen which shows the error 0x0000008e and that it has something to do with win32.sys.

i've tried chkdsk/r using the reinstallation cd, but it doesn't boot up no matter how many times i try.

also have important documents in the computer, is there anyone to save it even though i can't save the computer.

Need help, anyone? Please? thanks.

8E is Kmode exception not handled. Your hard drive is likley fine, but a core component of your board is failing.
