PC affected with unknown malware
I had recently got a malware on my Pc,
I got it removed with the help of Kaspersky, it's name was qhost.hx
which did not do anything to my nornal surfing,
But i think along with hat i also had an unknown malware which has not been removed till now.
My Normal Paging file size has been kept to 288 MB, and it had never exceeded that, but now a days after the warning,
Which states:
YOUR SYSTEM WAS INFECTED BY UNKOWN TROJAN
ITS DANGEROUS FOR YOUR SYSTEMS(CRITICAL FILES CAN BE LOST)
CLICK OK TO DOWNLOAD ANTI-SPYWARE (RECOMMENDED)
Pops up every now and then while accessing My computer, and after this message, Paging file size Goes up to 589 MB, and then most of the applications fail to start ,thereafter
I have Scanned with updated kaspersky, in safe mode, thereafter Did a scan with Mcafee Sdat,
But all in Vain,
Would like URGENT HELP

Download HJTInstall.exe to your Desktop.
- Doubleclick HJTInstall.exe to install it.
- By default it will install to C:\Program Files\Trend Micro\HijackThis .
- Click on Install.
- It will create a HijackThis icon on the desktop.
- Once installed, it will launch Hijackthis.
- Click on the Do a system scan and save a logfile button. It will scan and the log should open in notepad.
- Save the log to a convenient location as you'll need to post it soon.
- Don't use the Analyse This button, its findings are dangerous if misinterpreted.
- Don't have Hijackthis fix anything yet. Most of what it finds will be harmless or even required.
Please post the HijackThis log back here.If it has been 7 days or more since your last post, and the helper assisting you posted a response to that post to which you did not reply, this topic will not be reopened. If you still require help, please start a new topic and include a fresh HijackThis log and a link to this thread in your new topic.
