OK, I'm realizing I'm gonna have to move eventually..

I'm nowhere near anyone in {IC}...

Should I build up as much of a resource stockpile, one embassy, and move as fast as possible?

..or should I build up this town as large as possible and move only when attacked, or threatened?

build a level one embassy, thats all you need.

just build up a residence to level 10 so you can make settlers, to make a new village (a residence, not a palace, you can only have 1 palace and you'll want it elsewhere)
try not to stockpile too much, you'll become a target for farming, but build up resource fields as much as possible.

Waiting for resources to build embassy (need 15 more wood..) Should be 30 mins or so..

After I build embassy, can I/should I ship out excess wheat to someone?

You need an embassy to join the alliance, then a level 10 residence to make settlers, you need 3 settlers to make a new village. Settlers cost between 4000 and 8000 of each resource, so build up your warehouse and we'll supply you to get you over to the new stronghold :D

Game is limiting my next building to an embassy... crannies will follow...

I suggest building up your warehouse and granary til you can hold around 10k of each thing, then tell us and we'll be able to supply you.

When I create a new village I always try to get my main building to level 10, and my warehouse and granary to hold about 10k before I do any major construction like making a level 10 residence. I don't know if that's a good strategy or not, but it works for me.

I sent you a bit of each resource btw, they should be there in about an hour and a half. If you want to see when incoming resources will arrive, you just need to get a level 1 marketplace.

You have 3 days of protection.
    1) Build up your Warehouse and Granary like AlphaTrinity said.
    2) Build up a handful of crannies to level 10.
    3) Build a residence to level 10.
    4) Build up your resource fields.
    5) Hopefully soon you'll have enough culture points to found a new village and having all those crannies will help you keep your resources when you're raided (which you will be once the 3-day grace-period is over).

the good thing about crannys is they always protect enough resources so you can build to the next level.
tip: cover your warehouse limit for now, until you're much bigger

RADA for your first few days focus on just resource upgrades (including warehouse and granary). Worry about Residence and other stuff later. We have a kind of noob Q&A thread here

Keep asking for supplies until you are making a good amount of your own, you'll need the boost at the beginning.

Just built a marketplace, what should I build next?

    Not sure how much effort I should put into this village, since its so far from the rest of {IC}

I find the marketplace is fairly worthless until level 4 or so. One merchant isn't terribly helpful alone.

What should I work on then?

Need a settler to get to the {IC} area, correct?

Yes, you'll need a level 10 residence to build your 3 settlers. It costs (all told) almost 20K of each resource to build and launch your settlers.

Personally, I work exclusively on resource development as long as possible (including the booster buildings) then get the military infrastructure (barracks, academy, armoury, blacksmith) then market / residence / hero's mansion. It sounds like you're skipping the military part, so concentrate on getting your settlers and the ability to supply your new village. I wouldn't build the settlers until you'll be able to complete them all at once in the span of a day or two.

Haven't had the option to build barracks, academy, armory, etc. yet... Am I missing a building? Need to level up certain ones?

    will start now...

Could use some supplies to keep buildings/upgrades coming fast as possible...

Ah, then build a rally point!
you can only build it in one of the spaces around the centre of your village
