should i get a q9300 or q6600 bundle?

hey guys ok so im going to get a quad core cpu and i was looking around and the retail q9300 just came out which is this one http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819115043
the price is 299$
there is also a oem one which is just about 30 bucks off. i found this other deal which was a xfx nforce 680i lt sli mobo with a q6600 bundle which is this one

this one is 329$ what should i get cause i would also have to find a mobo for the q9300 (im not so very good at looking for good mobos) right now i have a an52 and a amd 3600x2. thanks.

    The 680i is outdated, I wouldn't get it. Its not worth the $130 in that bundle. I'm not even sure if some of the 680i boards support Penryn. Probably not, that might by why they are bundling it up with a CPU.

    oh i see. so should i just get the q9300 and a mobo?
    EDIT sorry i just need some help thats all if anyone can help me find a good mobo along with a intel quad core cpu that would be helpful. also my budget is around 300-400$

    doomd, I think I would get the Q6600 over the Q9300 myself. The Q6600 has a higher multiplier and more L2 cache. The higher multi gives you more flexibility with overclocking it and the larger L2 cache should more than make up for the advances in architecture that Intel made in the Yorkfields. And due to the low multiplier of the Q9300, getting an overclock higher than 3500 MHz will be extremely hard to do, from the results I've seen posted so far. The Q6600 will probably overclock higher than that (nothing is guaranteed in overclocking) and the higher multiplier will let you run your ram at lower memory speeds with better timings.

    With a $300-$400 limitation I think your best bang for the buck is a P35 motherboard.
